Paris In Parts: Green Spaces

I have visited Paris many times as a student, a teacher, and a tourist. Often this prompts the questions what’s so special about the city or what’s your favorite part of Paris? Here is a photo journal of the exceptional city of lights…in parts.

Part one: Green Spaces

The French seem to love their outdoor spaces. It is hard to visit Paris and not notice the amount open space through the city: the heavily treed wide avenues, the highly manicured parks, and the green spaces in and around museums and monuments. They are all so charming and give the city an unmatchable vibrancy. It is no wonder that The United State’s wanted to stamp its capital, Washington DC, with the same cultural importance by emulating this aspect of Paris.

Paris’s landscapes are among the finest in the world. It is hard, many times, to imagine finer outdoors spaces.
